Research & Strategy

Research that informsstrategy and policy

Good decisions require good information. However, information alone is seldom enough.

Information must be analysed, interpreted and placed in the context of the decisions that need to be made.

MLS provides strategic research and advisory services, with particular experience in commercial business, agribusiness, economic development and public policy.

From research findings to decisions

Our research assignments are guided by four questions. The aim is to produce research that is credible, relevant and useful to decision-makers.

  1. What is the problem or opportunity?

  2. What does the available evidence tell us?

  3. What are the practical options?

  4. What needs to happen next?
